One UI 6 has messes up my phone

I have a Z flip 5 and my phone updated yesterday, the only thing dodgy about it was the way apps closed. I had to swipe hard to keep and app open but go back to the home screen. Today, i woke up to another update which has completely messed my phone up. I can't get off and apps without swippinh really hard left or right. Even this makes my internet searches back to square one before i've even left the app. All my apps are open and i hate it😭please turn it back to swiping up to get back to the home screen.

Have you tried setting the navigation sets to keys then back to gestures? This could help reset the issue

Have you tried wiping the cache partition and repairing the apps since updating your device?
