My phone no longer sounds notifications when the phone is folded. It works fine when open. I've checked every setting and all appears fine. I think it happened when the latest update was downloaded. Any ideas on how to solve this would be appreciated.

Hi
Toubleshooting steps:

1. Check Cover Screen Settings:

Go to Settings > Notifications > Cover screen notifications.

Ensure this setting is toggled on.

Select the notification pop-up style: Brief or Show even while screen is off.

2. Manage App Notifications:

Go to Settings > Notifications > App notifications.

Select the specific app you're having trouble with.

Ensure notifications are enabled for both the main screen and the cover screen.

3. Lock Screen Notifications:

Go to Settings > Notifications > Lock screen notifications.

Ensure this is turned on.

Check the "Show content" option and choose the desired level of detail for notifications.

4. Consider third-party apps:

Some third-party apps, like WhatsApp, may have their own notification settings within the app itself.

Check the specific app settings for any options related to cover screen or lock screen notifications.

5. Other Potential Issues:

Do Not Disturb: Make sure Do Not Disturb mode is disabled, as it can prevent notifications.

Software Updates: Ensure your phone is running the latest software version, as updates can sometimes resolve notification issues.

Cache Partition: If the problem persists, try wiping the device cache partition

Thanks - for clarification, it's the specific notifications from individual apps that aren't working (WhatsApp, Messenger etc), they now all have the standard notification sound for the phone. I like to have certain apps giving different notifications, and others just the quiet phone setting one. They work fine when the phone is open.
