Notifications not waking cover screen after UI 6.1 update

Very frustrating. Setting is turned on still in the cover screen menu. But now with the phone closed/folded I no longer see the screen wake to show a notification preview. Only get the vibration and sound and have to wake the screen by touching it. Samsung chat support are less than helpful

Yes I'm the same, sometimes it'll show for whatsapp sometimes it doesn't. Works fine for calls and sms. Wonder if it'll change with one ui 7

Definitely a screen/wake-up/timeout issue/bug. Mine is doing all this, inconsistently as well and has now started something else just as quirky. Wake-up alarm goes off, screen turns on to show me, and by the time I roll over to turn it off or snooze it, screen turns off and I have to actually wake it up (double tap) to be able to interact with it. Hoping OneUI 7 will fix it.

I had the same issue on Fold 6 UI 6.1.1 and found a workaround on YouTube with an external application. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlEABmj-_bU&t=1s

I've been using Glimpse for years and love it! Unfortunately this go around, it's a Samsung issue for me. Glimpse will wake screen up (most times) and then my Fold screen just turns off within a second or two. I have to manually wake it back up...

Hi,

Any resolution for this?  I have a Flip 5 and my messages used to remain on the cover screen until I read them.  With the new UI, they do not stay active on the cover screen.  I've tried some workarounds, but to no avail.

Nope, don't think it looks like there's any point in raising these issues as Samsung seem to have no interest in fixing them! Pay a lot of money for a phone which gradually loses features over time. Absolutely terrible customer service
