Notifications not appearing on cover screen

Hello

I have a Z Flip 3 and when I got the phone it would show incoming app notifications when folded and just laying on the table.

For some reason it has stopped doing that - probably because I changed some setting somewhere?

I would just love to get that working again - any ideas?

Hi, I just saw this, too, LOL.  I have a small LED dot on the left side of the cover screen that would illuminate if I had a notification, then I would tap the screen to wake it up to see the icons.  I don't see where it says "always on display is not available on the cover screen)....? but in the "Cover Screen" page of settings there is a sentence "If lock screen is off or set to hide content, notifications won't show on the cover screen either".  below this text is a blue link "Hide Content (Lock Screen)" .  There are some settings here, perhaps one of them is your culprit?  LOL, I think this is why people like iPhones!

Hi, may be it is because you changed the default app for the Phone.

To change it back go to Settings--> Apps --> Choose default apps --> Phone app --> select: Phone (System default)

Hi, I was just having this issue with my 4. Turns out it won't stay on if you have battery saver mode on. 

I turned battery saver off and it's working again. see if that is the issue.
