I resolved it by changing the setting. I'm using Fold 3

found this separate app sound setting.. turn it on, and select the audio device to my Bud Live, which is still no sound, connect to my watch pro, also no sound..
hopeless setting.

I've got the same issue after updating the new security update of Samsung in June 2023 for my Galaxy Fold 2.
There is no sound when I unfold the phone to use the main screen. But if I fold the phone and use the front screen, the sound is back. What's wrong woth the last patch of Samsung in June??? My phone now is out of warranty.

Same here , tried contacting customer support. Couldn't get through but clearly an issue with the update. Also carried a full recovery back to manufacturer setting and made no difference.
One thing I did notice, when no sound playing when open, if you close about half way on closing the sound comes back on.
Rip off Samsung as getting ready to release fold 5.

Just had this happen to mine. Must be a software update glitch. As above, the speaker works fine, it's just an issue when it opens. I messaged them on FB to see what they say but, as with any large company, I won't hold my breath....
