No audio when Fold 3 is open

Hi All,

Issue after issue, my audio doesn't work when I'm using the main screen. Fully open no audio but if I slightly fold the phone just before fully closing the audio works!?? How odd? 

The audio works fine when using the front screen.

Tried the reset/safe mode options no change.

Will this be covered under warranty? I did purchase the phone in Aug last year when it launched.

Do folds come with 2 year warranty? I checked my Samsung care and it expired in Aug 2022.

Not looking forward to getting in touch with Samsung!

Mine was quoted Php 40k. 40k for a sound problem 😞

Yes, I just had the same quote, £550.00. The phone seems to do the opposite of what it should do when you close it which is presumably down to a sensor failure somewhere. This is going to need the screen removing and that's why it I so pricey.

I'll sell it on eBay for parts I think as a second hand replacement is only  £4-500. If I can sell mine for £200....

freaking same issue on my fold4, not sure what Samsung software team thinking. I will sell this used and don't buy fold again. A phone without sound on call.

Guys, my Fold 3 is still under warranty so your Fold 4's should be too.

Same thing happened to my Zfold 3 after the software update. I've reset all the settings and troubleshooted all audio settings with no success. It's the update. If the phone is partially open or closed it plays sound but fully open the only way it plays sound is with bluetooth connections.

Have you tried to escalate the concern and able to repair the phone for free?

Did you guys try the thread that I mention above. Try this, go to settings, search for 'separate app sound', turn in on and include you app. It solve mine.
