NFC not working with app

Hi, I have installed SimplyFi from Candy via the Play Store and have given the app NFC permission. When I try using the NFC to communicate with my Candy washing machine it immediately says that my "smartphone does not have NFC or it is not enabled for third party apps".

NFC is on, all toggles are on in the NFC settings and I have given the app permission to use NFC. Any ideas as to why it still isn't working? 

Z Fold 4, running UI 6, all up to date.

It might also be worth communicating with the developer of the app @Legalmac

Unfortunately, the Candy simply-Fi app's rating of just 2.5 and its reviews in the Google Play Store says it all. As @BandOfBrothers suggests, contacting Candy or the the apps developer is your best course of action. Good luck!
