Strange TikTok Crash Issue on Fold 7 (Solved with RAM Plus)

I was using an S23 Ultra 1TB before and never had any issues with TikTok or app crashes, even though I’m a heavy user with over 300 apps installed.

Recently, I replaced it with a brand-new Fold 7 (1TB, 16GB RAM). On paper, it should be more powerful and faster than my almost 3-year-old S23 Ultra. Everything worked perfectly fine on the Fold 7 except TikTok, which I use a lot.

TikTok kept crashing constantly. I tried reinstalling it, clearing cache/data, and rebooting multiple times, but nothing worked. Every other app ran smoothly without a single crash, so it was only TikTok giving me trouble.

After not finding any solution online, I decided to increase RAM Plus to the maximum (16GB), and surprisingly, the crashes completely stopped. TikTok has been running without a single issue since then.

It’s strange because the Fold 7 already has 16GB of RAM by default, so I’m not sure why TikTok only started working properly after boosting RAM Plus.

I wanted to share this experience in case anyone else faces the same problem, especially on the Fold 7. Has anyone else run into something similar?

Did you transfer it via smart switch from the old phone

Tiktok uses a lot of your phone storage. In order for the app to function properly. If you're using the beta version of the app, then make sure to withdraw from the program and stick to the stable version. You can usually do this on the Play Store.

That's correct. I did use the smart switch from my old phone. But don't forget, I uninstalled it and reinstalled it many times which didn't fix the issue. Also why I only saw the problem with tiktok and not any other app 😊

Yeah as per my original post, I uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times but only increasing the RAM Plus to 16 GB fixed the issue
