MS Authentication App issues

For anyone who has had the MS Authentication app fail to sign in correctly on the Flip 7, the patch issued today for the Flip 7 seems to have fixed that issue.

It's not issue or error,  MS authentication app autofill support has ended.

I surprised that you didn't see that notification in app.

"Please  save your payment info as it will be deleted. To continue autofilling, switch to Microsoft Edge or export your passwords to use another provider."

Nothing to do with Autofill, the app would not allow me to set it up for passwordless authentication, until the patch was applied today.

While the app no longer stores passwords etc, it works fine to authenticate access to MS app and Web pages where a password is required. As far as I'm aware it was always primarily an app to authenticate a user accessing MS logins.
The trouble was that with the Flip 7 the app wouldn't complete a full setup but does now the patch has been applied.

I'm not arguing about passwords that may have been stored in the app in the past. I never used that functionality anyway. The app didn't store passwords when it first came out ( as far as I'm aware), it was just an elegant way to authenticate a sign in to a MS site, by generating a two digit number after the attempted sign in, which was approved via selecting the same number on the MS Authentication app.
This is not autofill but Authentication. MS just use their own app although other authentication apps can be setup up to work with MS but they require a less elegant procedure.

Autfill does not work, authentication for 2FA works just fine, has done all day as it has with others who have commented on a different MS forum site. They're is nothing on my app that says it stops working today.
Your picture above is about autofill, not 2FA authenticate. Two completely different processes. The app is still available to down load, which would not be the case if MS has abandoned it.
