Issues with Now Bar and Google sports

Hello,

Has anyone managed to get the now bar to reliably work with live sports updates?

My experience so far is that I can follow the team and get the live score as a notification but it doesn't show up in the now bar.

When I go into the settings it says I'm not following the team, but when I search the team via Google I am. The whole implementation seems really intermittent.

I've done a hard reset and restored a backup since updating, and the issue still exists.

This may or may not help. I did a post earlier this weekend on what helped to get my now bar sports working.

It is worth checking these steps. If not then perhaps an update may resolve in the longer term.

Just to add though that this is with the S25 ultra... so it may have some slightly different 'bugs' with the fold series.

Thanks. The Google app is definitely tracking the sports correctly going on yesterday's rugby match.

The google app showed the score as a live notification- just didn't show up in the now bar.

One thing I did notice though is that I'm following my team, but it doesn't show on the main sports page but does show when I search for the team. Every time I try to add it via the "sports from Google settings" option it adds but when I go back in, it then shows as though I'm not following (when I am via the team page).

It seems as though the Google implementation is really flaky, and Samsung aren't going deeper than the home page.

It may be with the early oneui7 that some of the supporting apps have not quite caught up.

I e. Whilst the google app was working well with oneui6.1 on the fold series, it hasnt quite been adapted to the latest UI yet.

One thing I will say, is regularly check google play and galaxy stores for app updates.

With the s25 we were getting 10-20 app updates every few days. This is generally the app developer having released a compatible version for the latest ui7.

No one who has problems with Sports from Google in Now bar has mentioned whether they use Google Assistant or Gemini as their primary assistant. Maybe live notifications don't work with Google Assistant at all. Gemini has been my main assistant for a long time and live notifications work perfectly, yesterday I was able to watch 3 match at the same time. S24 ultra with OneUI 7

I'm using Gemini and have done for a fair while.

The issue is definitely the now bar not picking up the notification properly. Seems like a bug to me

It's the same thing that's happening here - someone (a mod) moved an entire thread to a collective thread and all my screenshots were no longer visible at all. It's the same with Google. Google started moving all country domains to one single one - google.com. You might need to re-enable all Google (search) settings
