Upgraded last month to what I thought was a lovely Galaxy flip phone. Had no end of problems with it not opening properly almost like the hinge was catching. Then at the weekend I could not open the phone it’s stuck, screen is lifting and completely unusable ☹ what do I do? I knew I should have stuck with the normal galaxy version!

Get onto support straight away. And explain what's happened. My wife has the flip 4 and it's great, no issues whatsoever. Click the support link on here call your support number for your country.

If the phone had problems initially. The you should get back to the retailer straight away.

The hinge should move smoothly, without any force to open it.

Did you purchase it new or used/reconditioned?
It will have a warranty, but if there's any damage that has caused the fault, it may not be covered.

Get in touch with the Samsung Customer Support and book a repair.
They will assess the phone and advise you before any repair is carried out

I hope you get it fixed quickly, as they are a great phone to use

Thank you. I purchased it as a 'Good as new' upgrade contract with EE. Not sure it's lived up to the Good as new title!

Try going through EE first.
It clearly had a fault already.
Not sure how this works regarding the warranty

The problem you may have is that it's been more than a month.
But you should still be covered by the consumer rights regulations

I've just been in to the EE shop they said if they send it off they will probably say its damaged by myself and I'll get a bill for the repairs. Shocking!

My flip 4 is fine except after only 8 months there are cracks in the screen protector. I think they ought to offer customers endless free screen protector replacement not just the one which they quote but mainly this is design fault imho

My brand new Flip4, purchased May 2024, has had a black line appear across the hinge one morning when I opened the 'phone, then by midday it had spread to about 30% of the screen and next day over 90% of the screen making it unusable. The screen appears to be lifting along the edges. No drops, no damage, was working perfectly...

Any similar experiences?
