Hi and welcome, nothing official but strong correlation, my personal there must be some link, sent our ZFLIP4 so repair, new screen and ribbon connector cables, but screen need to be removed to access any components.
In terms of warranty bad practice, as it's like saying car software caused and issue, replace the engine and bonnet.
