Hi I just got a fold 6, and noticed a blinking red pixel while the screen in off... well on the AOD. otherwise I cant see it no matter what else the screen is doing.

wondering if this is a fault worth me getting looked at now. or just something weird waiting for an update may sort.

or something random like a sensor... but if it was that it would still do it with the aod off... which is dosnt.. its litteraly only on AOD screen

Hi @Gazzxy

Can you show us a picture of the phone displaying this please i.e use another phone to take a photo and upload it here in your post.

I'm just wondering if this is the Proximity Sensor.

I.e https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/the-proximity-sensor.

If this isn't the proximity sensor then Open your phone app and dial *#0*# and this will bring up a number of tests to try.

Try cycling through the colour test panels to see if that will kick-start the pixels into working as they should.

If this does not help then seek support from a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre, or if your still within your cooling off period then consider having the phone swapped out.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

@Gazzxy: Where is the red blinking pixel located on your Always On Display? Have you noticed a pattern as to when it appears e.g. when you have unread notifications?

Seems to have stopped now. It was in the middle right hand side... which I though would be odd for a sensor that usually at the top. Otherwise only pattern I noticed was, it did it when the screen was just locked.

Yeh just in a weird spot for me to be a sensor... but also weird it was only when locked with aod on.... ither way gone now. Just keep an eye on it I suppose..

Wouldn't send a brand phone at that price back for repair after 2 days.. it just be going back for good.
