Hi I have samsung galaxy z flip 5 and I have a problem with opening attachments so I try to open is downloading and thats it I need to close app and then go to files . How to change settings to open straight away please help me🤨
Hi James. I have exactly thr same problem. I'm trying to open standard attachments. Like pdfs and jpeg photos. It downloads instead of opening. It did this initially when I got the phone back in June but I added adobe and it worked now it's back to not working? Samsung ate no help and I'm wondering if it os the stupid nee outlook that came with the phone. My new flip5 had the new outlook app but my old A8 has old outlook and it doesnt fo it. I've never had this problem with any of my 5 Samsung phones over the years just my new flip5. Why ?
Hi James please help. I cannot open email attachments on my samsung flip5. I've got Adobe set as pdfs but it also won't open jpeg photos. Never had these problems with my samsung A8. I HATE THIS PHONE
There are others apps such as All Pdf Reader or may be able to use Samsung Notes ,have you tried clearing cache. You could also tap on link and select open link or copy link address. May be some other option if you tap the three vertical dots. With jpeg files tap and select in My Files/downloads select More and open with. There is also option to Rename and if file ends in .jpeg could try changing to .jpg.
Hi James. It won't open with samsung pdf viewer that came with the phone. I always used that option on my A8. BUT what I notice is it is trying to get me to open with 365 as that is only one that says open? Maybe samsung don't want u to use anything else?
Many people have the same issue judging by online. If I press the 3 dots on attachments it gives me option for the pdfs so I pick one and it downloads not opens. Jpg only gives me option to save to my device or cloud. Never had these issues on my A8.
