Another broken flip phone due to the glass cracking all through the seam. Sent it back and it is still under warranty. We'll, Samsung claims that is normal and not covered under warranty. They want $512 to fix it!! Nope not me. I have contacted Class Action Lawsuit lawyers in Philadelphia and they are extremely interested in all your complaints. Please reply to this post if you're interested in the details when the info is ready

I had it happen. They charged me to fix it 242$ and that's a "discount". Next time the defective phone breaks. If I want it fixed its $500. This is fixing directly with samsung. The said my warranty was void and made me pay for fixing a known defect. Let's just start a class action lawsuit

I would like to be notified of this lawsuit as well- was thinking of contacting a lawyer myself. Same screen cracks from 3 months of normal use, and Samsung wants $400 to fix it because it's not covered by warranty.

@RobFoam is this still going on? I will be happy to join for the lawsuit. I have a samsung Z 3 fold breaking in the middle after 6 months of use.

I would like more information also please.  Mine had no physical damage or abuse and center of screen cracked down the middle about 5 months into ownership.  Tried authorized repair shop and said Samsung doesn't cover it and attempted to contact Samsung and they never responded.

Update: I kept calling and bugging the heck out of every department at Samsung. I got another approval to send in my junk Z-Fold.....this time I sent a not so kindly written letter describing everything I am reading on these blogs.....and at the very end I wrote that if this phone is sent back to me unprepared or unreplaced with a new one that they forward this matter to their legal department since that is my next step in this process.

I just received an email that my repaired phone is being shipped back to me with a tracking number.

The problem.....they most likely replaced it with the same poorly designed screen that will get me another 3-4 months until the same issue happens.

Once I receive it...I will update again. I have a feeling that I will have to eat my medicine and finally move to the Google Pixel phone or have Samsung replace it with the newer Galaxy Note.

This technology is not ready yet and I have a feeling Samsung will dump this technology.

Please provide details to me as well.  Started claim through at&t Assurance insurance, which I pay $15 per month for.  They said I would need to pay $250.  My Z-flip is 9 months old.  I cancelled claim saying I REFUSE to pay for this problem that is obviously a design flaw.  I'm going to go to the AT&T store I took it to - not sure it will be fruitful - but I'm willing to try.  Before I purchased, I asked the sales rep if screen cracking was still an issue with this iteration of the flip and he assured me they had resolved that problem... sigh... was hoping I could believe him.

My husband and I both got the flip 3 and mine started pealing at the fold first, now ots flowing upwards and down. A few weeks later his started. Samsung wants us to mail our phones in to fix. Which I will not do. Since there is personal info on my phone and it's the only phone I have. And no I am not wiping my phone. And have to wait 2 weeks to get my phone back.

We would join the lawsuit.
