My new phone s25 has poor battery life, even in sleep mode the battery is discharging so quickly. After I check it in the morning there is dip of at least 6 to 10% which is pretty poor, i have turned on sleep mode with all the recommendations but still the same like 5% dip. Please someone help me out on this, how can I improve this ? What I'm missing? Thanks

Check on your battery information and see if what app is using your battery the most. To do that, open settings and click battery.

Of course you're going to see battery use even overnight.

Your device is constantly online checking for email, WhatsApp messages, SMS etc. It is also connected to both WiFi and mobile networks.

If you don't want this to happen, pop it into airplane mode overnight.

Yes, you are right, but my old oppo A5 2020 phone which is 5 years old has better battery performance then this one. Of course there are many security features have come and the phone tries to stay in update overnight but this latest snapdragon processor is for better optimisation and battery efficiency right? So does it really working?

I also limit the background usage of the apps I rarely use. That should help too

It's just one week and if it is like this at the starting, and what if the battery health comes down to 80 to 70% then the real trouble starts. 🫠

how long does your battery last between charges? Mine usually last atleast 20hours with heavy use + mobile data use too.

Hi @vijay_vk

Welcome to the community forum.

This is a yearly occurrence. Battery life is really poor at the beginning because the the phone is learning how you use it. Battery life will be stable once the process is finished. It will take a few weeks for it to be at its peak performance, it has happened with all S series including the S22 which uses exynos.

My advice is do not turn off any feature that you want to use to save battery life. Just use the phone the way you want. It will struggle to last one day on once charge, but it will be creeping up until you could get up to 4 days and a bit, of course, it depends on usage. There is no phone lasting 24 hours of watching videos continuously.

Use your phone and do not pay attention to the battery consumption.
