Reasons why I won't buy the S25 ultra

1. No minimum 16GB RAM. AI need that.

2. No Smart View wallet cover case. I don't like spigen or any case you release for S25 series. I used only Smart View cover case. I don't like third-party cases either .

This two reasons is enough to my decision to not buy S25 ultra this year at all

In my opinion, the s24 was the last Samsung for many people. And many people will move to other companies

I respect your viewpoint on your reasons for not pulling the trigger to putchase the Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra. 

I know some people did raise an eyebrow when it was confirmed which regions are going to receive the ¹⁶GB Ram version. 

That said I honestly believe that due to the optimisation on the phone, the new updated soc and that these phone's perform incredibly well Ram management that the ¹²GB Ram version won't have a problem running AI ,and all the other functions and features. 

I totally appreciate that people have their own go to cases which they like to use and trust. 

There will be I'm sure that type of case available albeit not a Samsung Official version. 

My go to is some of the Spigen and UAG cases. 

Updating is a personal decision and all due consideration and diligence before purchasing should be carried out.

@ByQu  consumers can and will try out other manufacturers which is the beauty of choice.

Thanks Sonora. I hope the S26 ultra next year is closer to your expectations.

On the case side, it seems this year samsung have partnered up with spigen and otterbox. They are even selling these on the samsung website. I do wonder if this is the way of things to come, and samsung moving a little out of the accessory side... in favour of allowing the case manufacturer to sub-contacts.

I think if the smart view wallet is to make a come back then it may be from another company... than samsung themselves.

It sounds like this post is more about justifying to yourself your reasons and putting them on the community to validate your opinions. I did the same last year with the S24ultra to validate my own mind why I wasn't going to update my phone.

I personally don't think it is worth updating every year. I however have updated from S23 to S25 and I am very impressed with the new phone.

I totally agree with you when it comes to official samsung cases. My preferred favourites discontinued. The latest ones are poor quality. Third party ones are also not my favourite. There are some good ones but I don't like the camera cut out. Found one similar to the Samsung silicone s23 ultra case, it's an elago silicon one. But the bottom is too loose not solid as the Samsung. The rest of the sides are nice and sturdy. Finding it hard to find a good one that I'm going to be happy with.

Whilst the RAM is a bit annoying not to have, I honestly can't say that its really necessary. Gemini is able to run on devices with just 4GB of RAM and I doubt 16GB is going to be a requirement anytime soon. AI isn't going to take heavy RAM requirements, at least not yet and all the really advanced AI will be cloud based, which won't require much RAM at all on the user end.

The ram thing i can see your point to a degree but iphone 16 pro max runs on 8gb of ram and flys.

I wasn't gonna get rid of my s24 ultra, but i made the upgrade to the s25 ultra and absolutely love it 😍

But I really don't like Spigen and the other UAG, EAG, whatever they're called, and I really don't like the possibility that the Smart View wallet will be made by anyone other than Samsung.

I have found my favourite so far is a very basic ringke case.

This fits well and feels really nice in hand.
