Unable to create Work Profile - Microsoft confirm this is a Samsung OEM issue

My organisation uses Microsoft's Intune Company Profile to give us access to email, Teams, calendar etc. I have been trying to set this up since getting my S25U on day 1 and each time it tells me that a "work profile cannot be created".

I've spoken to IT support at my company, who have also raised the issue with Microsoft directly to be told by MS that they've received multiple reports from S25 series users and their investigations show it is an issue with the S25.

How can this be flagged or escalated with Samsung to issue a fix to resolve this? I need to be able to access my work emails and calendar while on the road, and at the moment I can't. I can't even use my trusty old S21U to access these as I've traded that in against the S25U!

Help!

It's ok, I found the 25 page thread on the Samsung US site, and have managed to fix it as of about 20 minutes ago.

In case anyone else is reading, I fixed it by first installing Android Device Policy from the Play Store

If I knew how to, I would! 😄

I would say though that it is only partially solved at the moment. Yes, I have access to the apps and work profile has been created, but I am unable to use biometrics or a PIN to log in, and instead have to use a long password meeting criteria that my organisation set. I think once the S25 series are added to the Android Enterprise Device list it may fix this issue.

Yes I had these issues for the first week but was able to create the work profile through Intune since end of last week.

There was another thread on this but now can find it 🤷 @AntS ?

You click the 3 dots next to a comment and press accept solution. Its annoying you still have to do that, mind. Be sure to post an update if you manage

@GusB , I checked and found that the thread was deleted.  From what I remember of it I can't see why we would delete it, so I'm guessing it was done by the OP. 😕

@MisterMints , I've marked two of your posts as 'solution' ones for now in case they help others with the same issue. We can always unmark/mark another post with any updates to the situation. 👍
