I kept my phone torch on for 5 hours. Will there be any problem.

Can you auto turn off the flashlight when it is not turned off in 30 minutes

I can't imagine any problem except having to charge up your battery.

Take a look at Modes and Routines, it might be possible to create what you want there.

Hi and welcome to the forum. No this shouldn't cause any problems. The only current way I can see to turn it off automatically would be if you can find a flashlight app that has a timeout setting

There is an app called Flashlight + Timer but has ads. Haven't tested it.

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Customer to Customer Forum

Leaving the torch on won't damage your device but will drain your battery of course. It is however still near avoided.

In the native torch app, no there isn't a setting where it turns off after so long that I can find.

It is, however, a good idea so please do pop to Samsung Members App, Support, Feedback and leave your suggestion there for Samsung to consider.
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.

My device is an S25 Ultra.

Hi @Rahulram

As @davehorne suggested you could create a mode or routine, which when enabled it turns on the torch for 30 minutes or whichever length of time you wish.

You could try:

Settings -> Modes and Routines -> Add mode

Give it a name and configure it to turn on the torch for the needed time.

This routine turns the torch on then off after 10 seconds - can adjust the timer and then set as a widget on the homescreen.1740672402934.jpg

Should we assume that Routine only works with a third-party app and not the Samsung installed app?

No, all stock Samsung apps, nothing third party.

Thanks for showing the Routine!  You should receive credit for this and I didn't have the option on my screen to give you the credit you deserve.

I have to honestly admit, it took me a few attempts to get this to work.

The important piece that was required to get the routine to work, was creating the widget and placing it on the Home page.

I had done everything except that and couldn't get the Torch to turn off.

Thanks for posting this.  I need to spend more time in Mode and Routines, it really is powerful.
