I have seen previous posts on the forum in regards to this @Tazim ,and I'm sure many have sent feedback via the Samsung Members App and in this specific threahttps://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/mobile-apps-services/the-suggestions-amp-ideas-thread-for-softwa...
Samsung do listen to feedback so if enough people ask ~ who knows.
Until then Secure Folder is the way forward.
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

If samsung added app lock, people might use that instead of secure folder. This would unintentionally reduce security for everyone who didn't realise secure folder exists.
You can set an app up in secure folder, set secure folder to lock maybe when an app is closed. Hold your finger on the app, press send to home. Now you have a secure folder locked app that shows on your normal phone. Press it, authenticate, app opens. Only downside is you need to enter your full code once each phone reboot but that's not too hard
