OK, so today I have taken three photos that I wanted to post on FB. One of them was taken with 200 MP camera and I tried 3 times to post all three photos in one post and the post would fail to upload and post each time. I than saw the the picture taken with the 200 MP camera would not upload in the phone's gallery either. I have cleared gallery's cache and I was able to see said picture again, I than uploaded the pictures again one by one on FB and yhe other pictures uploaded but that one 200 MP picture still failed to post. Signal is OK, I tried both WiFi and Network signal. Weird. Added on my feedback list. S25 Ultra.

Hmm. This is most odd. I know Facebook compresses images. Maybe it is struggling?

This may sound odd—try screenshotting your image from your gallery and uploading that screenshot. Obviously, it won't be 200 MB anymore, but it wouldn't be anyway if uploaded to Facebook, to my understanding.

Mind you, I've not experienced this issue myself. I upload all my Facebook posts from Instagram (they're synced) and have had no issues.

Yes, I believe there is a bug related to the picture itself because I also could not see it in gallery either and it's the only one that it would not upload. FB compresses most of the pictures anyway, but rarely come across something like this, failing to post a while batch of pictures because of one picture.

There could be a few reasons; it was an odd thing to occur. Hopefully, it won't happen again in the future. Hopefully, you will get feedback via support.

I am not overly bothered, but it's just weird.

Probably the size of image is huge and FB is unable to handle it. This sometimes happens with UHD 60 fps on Instagram as well but only when the video is long.

Hi.

Are you shooting in HEIC or JPEG?

Explanation via AI

While Facebook (FB) allows uploading HEIC files, it automatically converts them to JPEG or WEBP for display, meaning you won't see the original HEIC format on the platform.

Here's a more detailed explanation:

HEIC File Format:

HEIC (High Efficiency Image File Format) is a newer image format that offers better compression and quality than traditional JPEG, resulting in smaller file sizes.

Facebook's Handling:

Facebook, like many other platforms, doesn't natively support HEIC for display. Therefore, when you upload a HEIC image, it's converted to a JPEG or WEBP format for compatibility with web browsers and other devices.

Conversion Happens Server-Side:

This conversion happens on Facebook's servers, meaning you don't need to convert the files yourself before uploading.

Why the Conversion?

Browsers and other devices may not be able to display HEIC images, so the conversion ensures that everyone can view the images on Facebook.

Hi.
I have HEIF enabled, but I always had this feature activated on the S24U and never had a problem. The different thing was that it dawned on me to activate only RAW format and deactivate RAW and JPEG formats, I don't know what i was trying to prove really. 😅
Thanks for this reply @GoanGeek, I went back on advanced settings and I have put back the picture settings on RAW and JPEG formats. Also I have erased something from the picture and it allowed me to upload it on Facebook, it was car and the car numbers were slightly visible, but I don't think it was the car, I think that editing the picture made it more digestible to be uploaded. But I still believe the picture had a bug because it kept appearing as a black square in the phone's own gallery app.
