Don't want to install one ui 8 beta

Hey everyone ,

I left the one ui beta program for about over a week now but I still get the notification that I can install it but I am unsure to and just want to get the next security update for UI 7 when available, what will happen when July update is available for UI 7?

You'll have to install it and then leave beta. Follow given instructions on how

Do you think it's that simple to just leave the beta and update to One UI 7?
You need to back up your device and reinstall the One UI 7 version.
It's not possible to downgrade with the click of a button.

Nothing to downgrade to , I'm still on one ui 7 just have the notification to get the beta

I thought you had already updated to the beta version.
Anyway, this is the solution to offer.

You probably won't get a July security update. Your phone is sorta locked into the beta now until you install it and downgrade.

If you wait for the official one ui 8 to release then maybe, but I doubt it. Do a backup of your phone using smart switch, install the beta, revert your phone to one ui 7 and wipe everything, restore from the backup you made

This is why we keep saying

ONLY JOIN THE BETA IF YOU ARE PREPARED TO USE TEST SOFTWARE THAT MAY COME WITH BUGS AND MAY BE UNSTABLE.

We also recommend not to use Beta on your main device.

By signing up to beta, historically you've taken a space from someone who genuinely wanted to test software and feedback issues to developers.

You'll need to install it now. It is on the 3rd beta so is pretty stable now. At this point you may not get any updates until you install as your device is signed up.

Will my data carry over when beta ends and I update to stable from beta? Or will I have to factory reset via smart switch
