Samsung keyboard excessive symbols after holding onto a letter

Hello,

I just recently bought S25 Ultra and I ran into a small issue. This issue if you can call it that way was not present on older phones, at least not in such way.

I am using English (US) samsung keyboard, however in my Language there are special letters/symbols that I need to use, therefore to access them, you need to hold onto that letter until more options pop up and you choose one of them.

On S25 everything happens in the same way, but number of symbols and letters is extremely excessive for what I would like it to be. For Letter A there are 11 additional symbols, when trying to type fast, you get lost in all the options and it takes ages. Is there a way to delete or get rid of some of those symbols? Take into consideration that one of them is still relevant and used by me, so only some of them need to be gone.

Any ideas?

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community UK/EU!

Sorry to say the only way around this is through a third-party keyboard, as you can't customize the symbols that appear.

Unfortunately not, however your keyboard does have text predictions so should bring up words you often use for you to select rather than having to type out the whole word. Remember also you can create shortcuts for often used words or phrases and sentences.

Use Keys Cafe, it's very powerful Good Lock's modul for Samsung keyboard,  you can change everything.

This is before edit and deleting symbols on "a"

My Microsoft Swiftkey has eight special characters when I long press the letter A using English (Netherlands) as my first choice of Language in General management.

Thanks for bringing it to light. I thought it only happened to me and felt so dumb.
