Did you try it yourself ? Or making judgement based upon reviews and YouTube?

You are however right. Phones these days for the past couple of years have been so good anyway that changes have become incremental each year. It would certainly be a worthwhile jump across 4 or 5 years !

Not a huge upgrade but still worth it to some people.

Better grade 5 titanium
Snap dragon elite
Upgraded 1 camera lens
Ai features
One ui7
Etc...

I might have got the s25 ultra to if i could justify the price tag of the newest flagship. I got a really great deal on the 512gb s24 ultra from dealmonday.com 😄

Really hope you enjoy your new phone 😎

I upgraded ftom the S24 Ultra to the S25 Ultra and I personally feel the differences. There are apps I've noticed considerable improvements I haven't seen in any prior device, certain streaming apps.

It's a definite upgrade, especially in power, over the S24 Ultra and that wasn't a slow phone.

In the camera department, there are a few tweaks, it isn't identical. The most notable improvements to me are the zoom rocker and improved video recording with zoom transitions.

I've tried one yes at an expierence event. It didn't feel as special to me as the s23u did . Yeah I know it's the trend but the changes are so tiny as to be microscopic. It's an s24 s in an iPhone suit and all the AI stuff makes no difference as most will be locked behind a pay wall next year anyway. Yeah it makes more sense to wait 4 or 5 years now as you get updates that go that long and now upto 7 years from last year. Phones get more expensive so buying a new one year on year makes no financial sense. Especially if you own device will get the same software in a matter of months after the new one hits the shelves. So most of the reviewers saying it's a bit underwhelming are right especially if you have an s23u or s24u it's mostly for those coming from a s20 to s22 in my view.

Well consjdering the contract would be 24-36 months and you don't mind paying the monthly cost, you could upgrade everytime a new phone is released 😁

Ok at least you have had some hands on to make your own judgement. Some points are very true... and others are subjective and different from some other opinions. I would say that the changes 'under the hood' are far from microscopic and in fact against s23u the processor is probably nearly double the power... but this is just from my experience. The s25u reportedly some 40% faster than s24u... which in turn was a similar number better than the 8 gen2.

I usually upgrade every 2 generations but with 7 years to ponder then I may well keep this one longer... assuming it is kept in a good state and retains its performance.

The S23u by the way is only 4 years so is half way through it's upgrade term.

An s24 in a iPhone suit is a strange analogy... and I don't see that. But again everyone to their opinion 👍 😉

In terms of youtubers... they usually make their judgements with about 2 or 3 day usage and often with presale engineering software... it is wise to take some with a pinch of salt. Personally I don't see why the pessimistic reviews as it is far from that in real usage.

Actually the phones haven't increased in price for any of the Ultras since they began. This is a misconception many of us hold. There are models which are more expensive, yes, but on comparative levels, the prices haven't changed since the S20 Ultra.

Ah yeah the processor that can't even be 50% more powerful than its predecessors and they go on about using TIM as a cooling interface. Even though PCs have been using such for decades it's not a paradigm shift as they make out just common sense if you have a smaller processor that runs hotter. I wouldn't change after 2 generations if you have 7 years of updates for it's disposing of a phone not even halfway through it's usable life.

I mean the rounded corners and matt sides alongside an iPhone from front you would struggle to tell the difference. At least the old ultra design still held onto it's note heritage and make it more visually different from the phones under it. But hey I call a spade a spade 👍
