S25 Sound is poor

Recently purchased the S25 and disappointed with the sound. It sounds very tinny and distorted. I have the S10 and the sound on that is incomparable. Anyone else noticed this? I may move to iPhone because I need good sound *sad*

I am also considering the iPhone 16, or potentially waiting until September for the iPhone 17. A family member's iPhone 13, acquired in 2022, delivered exceptional audio quality. While this is regrettable, it remains to be seen if Samsung will address this aspect in their future? 🙏

Yeah I have an iPhone Pro Max in my home and its sound is just out of this world. Tbh all iPhones are. You would think Samsung, which makes TVs, would sort this out. It seems they've compromised on the sound quality for whatever else it may be. I'm also waiting for iPhone 17 and then will see what the S26 might be like in Jan/Feb. I just want a light, good sounding phone. Not asking for a lot lol

I can't comment on base S models, but the sound on the Ultra models are excellent. All the S Ultras I've owned (from 20 to 25) have had great audio, no tinny sounds or terrible distortion unless maxed out. It's worth mentioning if you have a case perhaps that is blocking the audio, try removing and testing to see if this is the case.

Thanks. I just bought the phone so no case. It has a very tinny sound. The Ultras look good but too big for my liking. I need something versatile that will fit in my pocket easily. I am now wondering if I have a defective S25 phone

It's possible. If you have access to another device like a friend or family members device or simply trying a display model in a store, you could try comparing to see.

Yeah I have a Note 10+ 5G and it's a decent phone even today. But comparing it's display and audio to my S25 Ultra, there isn't any competition there.
