S25 Plus magnetic sensor not working.

Samsung diagnostics reported a sensor error with the magnetic sensor. Chatted with Samsung support but after going through a memory clear and reboot all they could suggest next was a full reset. I am not sure if a full reset will fix this as it feels like a hardware fault.

Any suggestions?

It very much looks like it will have to go for repair. Create temporary cloud backup, under maintenance mode too

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community. To me, this seems like it needs to be booked for repair.

To be clear, your phone case doesn't have any magnets?

Go to your phone and dial *#0*#. A menu should appear. Click Sensors, then click Self Test under Magnetic Sensors, and test it. If it fails there too?

*Note: In Settings > Security and privacy, you'll have to disable the auto blocker.

Hi John, thanks for your response. No no magnets in the case. Tried the test as suggested and it also failed. Annoying as I have only had the phone for 4 weeks but the effort it takes to set all the apps again I am wondering if it is worth repairing. With all the Android advances and even with smart switch it is still a major effort to replace a phone and setup all the custom notifications and apps again.1740958099244.jpg
