When using my new Galaxy S25+ with pages that have white background I noticed that there is a considerable color shift when viewing the screen at even small angles. White color turns to blue and you don't need to tilt the phone much to see this. I also have Galaxy Note 9 and while it does have the same effect at very high angles, color stability when just slightly shifting the phone by a small amount is much much better to the point where it's not noticeable with normal use on Note 9 but it is noticeable on S25+. Is this normal for this model or my screen is just faulty? I have a Spigen glass protector on S25+ but nothing on Note 9.

Here is a video showing the color shift:

An update at 21.02.2025: I've been to see S25+ without screen protector on store display, and while the screen protector makes the screen a bit dimmer at very large tilt angles the effect at small angles is present in the same way even without any screen protector. I also compared S25+ to S25 Ultra (both without screen protectors) and it looks the same.

I haven't personally noticed it, as I use dark mode. I just got a white screen and can see what you mean, so I did some Googling.

I presume it's normal for the S25. Mind you, I'm using a screen protector too; it doesn't bother me (I haven't noticed it in the month I've had my phone).

    Hi there

Have you had this issue before applying screen protector?

Just out of curiosity, but have you had previous devices from other companies and not Samsung and tried this very test with similar screen sizes that is?

I don't know, I applied it before turning the phone on for the first time so as not to risk having the screen damaged. I read stories of people keeping the phone in their house waiting for screen protector to arrive and getting scratches anyway so I didn't want to risk anything happening to the screen.

Could be screen protector, would be better if you tested before applied screen protector on the phone.

You can check this thread also:

Personally haven't experienced any issues with s24 ultra or s25 ultra. In fact my s24 ultra had 1 screen protector and was removed after a month or so and still yet after a year no scratches on the screen.

I only used Samsung Galaxy devices in the past and right now I only have the Note 9 to compare to. On the Note 9 the white color does shift to blue but you have to tilt it more than on S25+ to see so it's not distracting. Here is my Note 9:

Sadly I don't have a third phone at the moment to record them side by side.

Well looking at your video, there seems like a very minor shift and nothing out of the ordinary. Comparing both my Note 10+ 5G next to my S25 Ultra, both screens exhibit about similar shifts. This isn't really something I notice anyway as I'm a pure dark mode user, so white background screens are rare. If you wish to mitigate this somewhat, try upping your brightness or using extra brightness.

Some comparisons of my Note 10+ 5G and S25 Ultra. Neither have any screen protectors.20250219_222541_1000003600_1740003943.jpg20250219_222533_1000003599_1740003935.jpg

all of my Samsung phones used to do this and most screens do some are just slightly worse than others if your unhappy contact Samsung but your likely to find replacement will be the same.
