I'm really disappointed with my S25 cameras, I noticed the downgrade in quality VS my S23 straight away. I then put it to the test and was massively disappointed with how bad the S25 is.

No compression. Shared via quick share so no loss in quality. There is next to no detail in the S25, the worktop the kiwi is sitting on his out of focus, when you zoom into the kiwi, there is no detail on the s25.

I'm praying an update comes in sorts this out otherwise I'm returning the phone.

You can see on Reddit that I'm not the only phone who is experiencing this..I can't believe I "upgraded" my phone yet my camera is worse!

Hi! Welcome to the community!

Personally I love the camera. Sad to hear you're not- however, when uploading to Members it compresses the Images so we're not seeing what you're seeing.

In camera settings there are a load of settings to explore! Maybe try seeing if you like how images turn out adjusting those?

Maybe try looking at this video too

Hi and thanks for the welcome! What do you love about it? I'm struggling particularly with the lack of detail.. are you using any settings to help?

Give pro mode a whirl or explore the rows of options! There are so many settings to play with Galaxy! Just remember, better lighting leads to amazing photos, so let’s brighten things up and capture the joy! 🎉

That video does a good job of showing settings.

Personally, I think samsung tends to over expose images. So sliding down exposure helps.

In camera go to the 4 dots to the bottom right- settings-
Toggle Intelligent optimisation (some dont enjoy it)

Advanced picture options

And finally is you decide to change the exposure you can lock it in- Settings to keep- bottom

Additional in settings find and Toggle- Advanced resolution options and Camera Assistant

Maybe give pro mode a go?

Ps: from my experience I really enjoy the night photos I've taken

Yeah, Samsung can over expose our images so you end up having to mess about with the settings till you feel that it's right. The problem is every year we get promised better camera specs and Samsung don't deliver, now they are saying the S26 will be better still especially at video pics etc it never happens.

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Customer to Customer Forum

I have the S23 Ultra, S24 Ultra and S25 Ultra and of the three the best images come from S25 Ultra first followed by S23 Ultra (S24 Ultra was underwhelming in the camera dept)

There are so many settings you can use when taking images on your S25 Ultra. Play with Expert Raw and Pro Modes especially.

Agree S25 camera is shocking, i just switched grom s24 ultra which over exposed your photos with ai and I was back and forth with Samsung for 9 months without any resoultion and wa just told to use raw mode whoxh only uses 12mp  not the advertised 200. The S25 is even worse and again I have various tickets open with them but yet still with no solution.

Why do these compainies think it is ok to launch nww phones and charge thousands for the poor quaility!

Beem on Samsung for years and have tablet, watch etc but not seriously considering return this junk and going with iPhone.

Samsung listeb to your customers and oush sw update ASAP!
