S Pen Bluetooth Removed

I am considering to get another Samsung phone after using Z flip series, specifically wanna get a S series now.

However, I am disappointed to hear bluetooth feature has been removed in S25 ultra, and that leads to the fact that I don't want S series this year anymore. S24 ultra has bluetooth feature, but I came to store and tried out, its camera is defo not as good as S25 ultra. 

I chose Samsung since day 1 because I love playing with tech, and Samsung always makes my dream come true. Only this time, it is removing one of typical features of its product - S pen, making it less attractive than ever. 

I know there have been issues about bluetooth connection, yet with the price of the phone, I believe the issue should be fixed rather than being removed as the resolution. Otherwise, it is just a brand pen, while those being sold in the market and compatible with any smartphones can do mostly the same thing with S25 ultra pen, not sure the worth of it without bluetooth tbh. 

I hope Samsung can hear and add back S pen's features in S26 series, I am really looking forward to next year S series with improvements🙌

I can be pretty certain that the Bluetooth functionality won't be returning to the S Pen anymore.
Yes I did use it on the occasion.
But do I miss it now on my S25 Ultra. No not really.

There are other ways to remotely take a photo. I use my Galaxy Watch Ultra to capture photos remotely now.
In some ways it's better as you can see the image on the Watch.
Especially if it's a group of us, can see on the Watch when everyone is looking correctly.
A Bluetooth trigger as well, like a bluetooth button etc
Voice trigger.

Otherwise the S Pen still has its core features

It's a great phone and I personally feel it's the best all round device out there
I don't have any Bluetooth connection issues at all. Just make sure all apps and Bluetooth devices are upto date software wise

Love the cameras and whole general experience. I use Goodlock to further customise my phone as well

The Bluetooth SPen functionality was discontinued as less than 1% of users were actually using the function.

I'm one of the 99% who sadly didn't but now wish I had 😊

I have the S25 Ultra

There are other options to replace such as using the Galaxy Watch to take photos via Bluetooth on your phone. 🙏

It's disappointing to lose, of course. But should it influence your buying decision? Hardly. You say you've used a Z Flip before which doesn't even have an S-Pen, much less Bluetooth functionality. So whilst I understand being disappointed about losing a phone feature, it's a bit presumptive to assume it's a full blown reason to disregard a phone based on a feature you've never had or used before.

Yes, it indeed affects my decision a lot. When I choose a tech device, features are the keys to me. Air gesture is one of the things I look forward when using s ultra as well, but clearly it is no longer there. And I am buying an extra phone, not simply replacing, so I am looking for those not present in z flip. I can use goodlock and do customisation on my z flip as well, so not seeing it attractive in ultra. Just good camera is not persuasive enough for me personally, since there are many alternative choices regarding this. S pen is one of signatures in ultra line, isn't it? And bluetooth allows a lot of "games" to play with haha.
P/S: I looked into z fold but the middle line is not as good as in z flip, more visible, and bulky for me 🤧

Hope they can make an option with or without bluetooth, and the price can be a bit different between both for next s series 🫣🤭

Ok, if that floats your boat, who am I to disagree. I just think (and this coming from a lover of tech) it's a very minor feature to look forward to, mostly a gimmick. I owned/have 7 Samsung devices with S-Pens that have Bluetooth functionality, I also game a fair bit too. I could count on one hand how often I use Bluetooth functionality of the S-Pen.

Unfortunately I think that is unlikely, whilst some users do miss the Bluetooth functionality in the S Pen 🖊 it really was niche. Whilst sometimes customer feedback can make a difference think demand is too low to make it viable. As has been mentioned there are alternatives that work well,voice control is also an option.
