Phone won't work unless connected to wifi

Wondering could anyone help? From the new update yesterday my phone sim doesn't work unless connect to wifi. When wifi is off I can't make or receive calls, data won't work. I basically get "Emergency calls only" on my phone. 

I've tried turning settings on and off

Reset network settings

Been in developer options

Factory reset

 Now i am at a loss on what to do as it's still not working unless connected to wifi

Try diagnostics via Samsung members app. When you said contract phone what does it mean as also said you are on pay as go

Maybe late but have u tried resetting the sim card signal by putting ur phone on aeroplane mode

Check ur call settings and make sure ur sim is using the operators signal. Its usually in Call setting or sim card settings. Makensure its on Ailitomatic and not manuel
