My new S25 is dropping wireless connection constantly. My old S21 kept right next to it is perfectly fine.

Wifi6e

The only connection change i see is S25 - WPA3 connection while S21 - WPA/WPA2.

It keeps saying WPA3 connection is required.

I have Xfinity. The latest gigabit connection and latest router.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello 👋 @JKR1979 and Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum.

Is this happening with all Wi-Fi sources or just home 🤔

It might be worth trying another wireless channel.

That or forget the network and try again.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I would suggest you post on the US community as they are better placed to assist you. Our Internet connections and equipment is different

Same issue, my Linksys Wi-Fi mesh (bridge mode) system work fine for all the other items on it, other Samsung phones, tv's etc. but our new S25 and A9 tab will not connect to the Wi-Fi. They will work in guest mode but then we cannot control the smart things, Sonos, etc in our house. We also order a S25+ that’s coming at the end of this month, we suspected that will not work too.

Someone at Samsung needs to sort this out!

Thank you all. Figured out the issue. I am in the US. Xfinity is the internet provider. The new S25 and also some older devices that were struggling use WPA3 security protocol. My router was set to WPA2 protocol.

In the US, you can use the Xfinity app, go to Wifi, go to Edit Settings, and you can change the security protocol to WPA3-personal or WPA3-personal-transition if you still want a hybrid.

Doing this worked.

So far so good with the new S25.

S25 Ultra – I'm have a similar issue with WiFi - both at work and home. My phone works fine, but then the WiFi suddenly drops or becomes extremely slow multiple times a day, causing apps to lose connection. When I check the WiFi status, it shows as both "connected" or "connected without internet." After around a minute it reconnects. I just upgraded from a 23 Ultra, which connects perfectly in both locations and always has, and still does, along with other devices in both places that never have any issues. It's incredibly frustrating, especially since I paid around £1500 and it's less than a week old. I've tried forgetting and reconnecting to the network, resetting the routers, and restarting the phone, but the problem persists with slow speeds and dropping connections, any advice would be appreciated

Thanks !

It looks like the new S25 series doesn't send the correct FT information to the access point (FT is used for roaming between wifi access points), so the connection can be dropped or have problems connecting. Samsung should fix this ASAP.

I am from Ukraine and I have issue with connection (even finding) Wi-Fi 6E with my S25 Ultra. I had same issues with my iPhone and MacBook, but after turn off location service + setting country as US iOS and macOS start to connecting to Wi-Fi 6E router (ASUS AXE11000).

Please assist. Thank you!
