Hi All
I hope someone can help.
I purchased the new Galaxy S25+ on 7 April 2025, and recently I have started receiving repeated alerts stating: "We've detected moisture or foreign material in the charging/USB port."
This seems unusual and concerning, especially considering the phone is only about two months old. I can confirm that the device has not come into contact with water or any foreign materials, and the port appears completely clean and dry.
I have not been able to charge it with a cable due to the persistent moisture/debris alert, so I am relying solely on wireless charging.
Could you please advise on what might be causing this alert and how it can be resolved? I would also also appreciate knowing if this might be a known issue?
Thanks
Helen

Hi Andrew - tried everything in the troubleshooting guide, tried all charging cables, samsung, anker, etc. As soon as put the USB in the port it comes up with the error. Its clean and dry so I really dont know whats going on here. It charges wirelessy no problem, but I should be able to charge using the port too.

I think I have the funniest issue. I was getting the moisture detection but that went away. Now I can't charge without having the USB cable in a specific orientation. Its USB-C! I shouldn't have to flip the cable 😭🤣 I hope they fix this soon because it's annoying.

I have the same problem! Its super annoying. Usb cable only works when flipped into the right position. And as of today cannot connect a usb cable at all without debris / moisture. Phone is under 2 months old! Hope this really is just a software thing, I really dont want to have to replace / abandon Samsung.
