Whenever there's a problem we're told to clear the cache partition - phone off, volume up / power button depressed, and connected to a computer via USB cable, and release when 'Samsung' appears.
I recently tried that with a USB C to USB C connected to my wife's tablet, and that also did the trick.
I'll assume this is common knowledge and my post is unnecessary ...?

Hi @davehorne
It is common knowledge that the phone could be connected to a PC or another device, e.g. phone, tablet. It has been said multiple times. However, your post is not unnecessary. People looking for support might not be familiar with the search functionality of the forum, so it is not bad to refresh the information. 😉

Will not necessarily solve all issues but is good maintenance after updates (particularly major os ones), can also be beneficial with issues such as lags/freezes. yes you can connect to another Samsung mobile Device or TV USB as well as computer.
I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.
