In the past the transfer process from old phone to new phone has been flawless, but with the S25 I'm running into major issues. I've got sync on in the Gallery but it isn't syncing. The last photo to sync was on my old phone.

I've tried clearing cache/data but that has made things worse. When I go into the Onedrive app most of the photos are icons and when I click on them it says they've moved or I don't have permission to view them. On this Day is also not working and the Onedrive photo widget has disappeared with no option to re-add it. I've also noticed when I send a notification to log into my Microsoft account it goes to my old phone but not my new phone. I'm also not sure why I have multiple folders with the same name, like 2 camera folders. I've tried syncing both but it makes no difference.

I'm getting extremely frustrated and I can't find an answer. This is the first time I've been frustrated with the Smart Switch process, which is probably the main reason I've always stuck with Samsung in the past...

Iv'e heard that the Gallery syncs to a different folder within OneDrive now, maybe that's why you have two folders 📂 with the same name.

I can't, I can only disable and that did nothing

I wouldn't mind having 2 folders as long as it synced but it's not...

I tried unlinking the account and linking it again and now it's randomly uploading old photos again, I've now no idea if these are new, duplicates, when they were taken because it says 7th Feb in OneDrive. Absolute shambles. Really wish I would have just kept with my S23 Ultra as I've never had an issue with it...

It might have something to do with combining the samsung account with your MS onedrive account. I had a similar issue when I did this under the gallery settings. I then got it separated again and now I only have the backup for camera with selected folders active in onedrive. With both everything got messed up.

So I will be monitoring this when I use smart switch to upgrade from my current s7 edge to the s25 ultra. Hopefully the gallery and account settings transfers over so it won't cause any issues.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra 1TB ~ Titanium Black.
Prior > Samsung Galaxy S7 edge 32GB ~ Black Onyx.

I think I'm finally close to untangling the mess. There were multiple issues but regarding the multiple files and old photos being uploaded as new, this seems to be related to a folder called sdcardbackup that was on my old phone but ignored, this is where the duplicate camera folder came from that the S25 now merges with the main camera folder automatically and caused me to to accidently start syncing that one as well, which didn't need to be synced as they are already backed to on my OneDrive elsewhere. I didn't even know this folder was in the phone, must have come from my S20 as that was the last one to have an SD Card...

So what did you do to resolve the issue ? I have the same issue, random photos are sync but not all of them.
