Location Icon ALWAYS on after April UI update

After the April UI update, my location icon at the top of screen is ALWAYS on. I turn off location, it's off. The second I turn location back on, it's constant. Someone on Reddit suggested uninstalling/reinstalling Google Play Services. That worked for maybe 6 hours. This is a known issue both on Reddit and the Samsung Members community. What's the fix?

Irrelevant but... update your Google play system update. Its like 6 months out dated

The s25 came out in Feb of 2025 so their google play system update is the version that was installed in the factory lol

Having location off kinda makes a lot of things stop working. You're perfectly fine having it off if you wish, but find my phone and loads of other features will stop working correctly

keeping location off when not not needed which is most of the time for me saves battery drain
