There are occasions when I swipe up from the bottom of the screen and the app remains full screen.
Fortunately, I happen to have One Hand Operation + enabled and I can swipe from the side to bring up Recents.
What would my options be if I didn't have one Hand Operation + enabled? How could I close or exit that full screen app that remains full screen?

The swipe for pop up view that you circled, I also had enabled.
At the bottom of that window, there is Multi window for all apps.
When you tap that, it brings you to another window and for me that option wasn't enabled, so I enabled it.
I've forgotten the specific app that I couldn't swipe from the bottom, but if the issue doesn't return, I'll assume it's been resolved.
