New S25 Ultra, and I can't figure this out. Added a card to Google Wallet. It says it's setup correctly, everything is ticked, NFC on, Wallet is default, etc. however when I go to pay, nothing happens. Only when I open Google Wallet does it spring to life and work. It's not a verification issue, just nothing happens at all, as if the phone hasn't registered a card reader is present.
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and all that, but not something I can easily test, as I have to go and buy another coffee every time but it still fails to respond when waving it over a card reader. Any suggestions?

I received my s25 ultra 2 days ago and I have the exact same issue with google wallet, it worked perfectly on my s24 and now I have to open google wallet to pay.
It looks like an OS issue no ?

Will do. Even with Google Wallet open I couldn't get it to work every time though.
Samsung received the phone back on Friday, so hopefully they'll process it soon and ship the new one out and I'll report back.

I have the exact same problem on my S25 ultra. Must be a software issue in one UI7.
Let's hope Samsung gets it resolved

I found out how to fix it. At least it works for me. Turn battery optimization to unrestricted in the apps settings. Letting Google wallet use battery in the background.

In case anyone is interested in the RMA timelines...
Wed afternoon - Samsung agreed to RMA and emailed DPD label.
Thur morning - Dropped off at a DPD parcel shop and DPD picked it up later that day.
Fri morning - Received back by Samsung.
Sun Afternoon - Replacement processed and shipped
Mon - DPD delivered new phone.

Sadly it hasn't worked for me. Still unable to pay with my phone 😞
