Galaxy S25 Ultra Camera JITTERY Zoom

Is anyone else noticing the "smooth zoom" making a big jolt when zooming from 2x to 3x? It's most noticeable when in video mode.  It also happens when zooming from 2x to 5x. I'm pretty sure it's when the camera switches between the different lenses.  It happens when I use the smooth zoom bar and also happens  if I just press the 3x button or 5x button on the camera control screen. Very frustrating. I sent my phone back to Samsung and they sent me a replacement but it operates the exact same way. Thanks

I can give that a try. But very odd behavior right out of the box.

Yes I'll do that since Samsung tech support says that they have  not had this issue.

Samsung exchanged my brand new phone since it was in the 2 week return window. I got the new phone and it does the exact same thing. My sister got the same phone and she's having the same issue. I'm pretty sure it's not just my 2 phones.

I am coming from S24U, I didn't plan to upgrade, but I have done it and don't regret it. I said in previous posts that the lastest Ultra phones have very techy cameras and I keep that opinion, I have a very good opinion about S24U camera as its the latest from last year and I love it, however, the camera from S25U is the next level due to improvements in software optimisation and the 50x optical zoom, it's just so easy to use and the photos and videos look professional.

it's is better for me when I use the vol buttons, but then I don't seem to have an issue if i press the 3 or 5x zoom, it's only the the slider, but actually I use the volume keys cos it's easier/handier not necessarily because I wasn't happy with lens jolting

Can smooth zoom be enabled/disabled?

I have the same problem with the zoom from 2.9x to 3x and from 4.9x to 5x.

The camera view changes a little quite fast and it;s annoying.

I tried to restart the phone, the last patch update is done and also I restarted the camera settings.

There is nothing I can do with camera assistant!

Also in photo mode, if I zoom 3x/5x the camera changes as well is a bad way.

I'm facing the same issue. I thought it was just my phone but now I see it's general. Coming from S24 Ultra and S22 Ultra before that one, I can say that this is VERY disappointing. I never experienced something like this with any other phone that I owned. If someone knows how to fix this, please let me know. I really hope that Samsung fix this ASAP.
