Hi everyone,
I recently got the Galaxy S25 Ultra and I’ve noticed a serious issue with the ultra wide camera 0.6x . Whenever I switch to it, the image on the screen start shaking or jittering , even when the phone is completely still. Sometimes I also hear strange buzzing or clicking sound coming from the camera module.
This happens in the default camera app, and it’s even worse in apps like Snapchat and Instagram. Photos look blurry and the camera seems to have trouble focusing properly. I’ve checked for software updates and restarted the phone, but nothing has helped so far.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
Is this a software bug could it be a hardware defect?
Should I go straight to a service center or wait for a software update?
Would appreciate your help and feedback!
Thanks 🙏

Hey @Katsunaki
When the camera is operated, a small noise may be heard due to the heat and vibration that is generated as mechanical movements such as AF, zoom, OIS and circuits are driven. This is part of your device's normal operation, so you've got nothing to worry about.
As for the blur you're referring to, are you only experiencing this when using third party apps like Snapchat?

In snapchat and simmilar apps, its happening more often, but its same thing on main camera app, as I understand af, and ois, but as ultra wide does not have ois, but those strange shaking and noises, when phone is still should not happen, and from what I see lots of people have those

Yes I tried it but without any solutions, as Im aware it doe not have ois, Im not even moving a phone by inch and its shaking a bit which is weird, I understand if I will move my phone like crazy and we know there is no ois.
I have noticed lots of people having this issue, and from what I checked this issue is often mentioned then others, which makes me thing if this is software or hardware.
Also curious why samsung decided not to give ois for this, but Im suprsied image actually moves, when phone is in place like froozen ;D

Hi,
Exactly same issue faced by me, im not sure whats causing it, i was waiting for software update hoping it will sort but it didn't, it had stopped for some time (like it was hardly for 0.5sec comapred to earlier getting all bonkers for 5-10 seconds and sometimes doesnt stop before stablizong), but after the recent soft ware update its gone back to the same issue.
I went to the service centre and they said change the camera module the 0.6x one, its the new 50mp sensor with samsung used .
For now I refused hoping for an update because I dont want my phone to open.
Im not quite sure yet but im considering this as a probable contender for a problem, I have placed ESR camera lens protector in all me sensors that includes the laser auto focus also but its a top notch brand and not sure is that causing it to happen, can you let me know of you also have added any lens protector,if not then its a software or hardware issue( i feel software)

I see mate, that is annoying, as 50 mp does have auto focus, it does not have Optical Image Stabilization, in meaning it will shake your imagine more then if u have Optical Image Stabilization , but it should not happen when phone is still and imagine still shaking, not to mention that sounds. Honestly since I left my s21 ultra, eaach phone which I tried from samsung was worse and worse for me, RIp my s21 ultra,

Same here. My S25 Ultra camera has a big shaking or vibrating ultrawide camera (0.6x zoom), accompanied by a rattling or stuttering noise. Many users have complained about this problem. Some of them were told it is a hardware issue, and their cameras were replaced. I don't think it is a wise idea for Samsung to open users' phones to change the camera instead of replacing their phones. It does not make sense to spend over $1200 on a phone, and when it comes with a hardware issue, to have the user's phone opened. I don't want my phone opened. It is not the user's fault that the hardware failed. Moreover, we are not sure yet if it is actually a hardware issue, and there is no guarantee the problem will not return after changing the camera.
