Simple question: this also happens when using the expert raw app? Or only with the standard camera app?

I have only tested this with the standard camera app. I'll try it in expert raw tonight and let you know.

Uhmmmm... bad thing. Expert raw have different algorhytms and if the problem stays, maybe is a firmware issue...

It would be interesting to know if anyone in this conversation who has s24u with the one ui 7 beta encounters the same problem. Because then in this case we would have confirmation that it is a sw error and not hw

Tried Pro mode today with the same wide angle lens (1x), iso 3200, and 3s shutter speed, and I don't see the banding issue. I'm almost convinced this is an issue with the Samsung night mode algorithms so hopefully can be fixed via a firmware update.

Maybe yes, but I'm not so sure because the pro mode has a big difference compared to expert raw and the stock camera: it does not activate the fusion of Pixels (Pixel binning). So the real doubt is to understand if the problem is in the physical pixels that for some reason HW does not They work properly or they interface properly with the ISP, or it is a sensor management in the deep firmware (not only limited to the stock camera app since the problem also occurs with exp raw and external photography apps).

either way, it's still a big problem because it's really unacceptable that a company like Samsung puts out a phone of this value without even bothering to thoroughly test what it creates.

do i need to remind everyone about the s20 ultra focus issues??

replacement phone arrived and it has same issue. 1x wide camera sensor is outputing white lines when night shot is on. tinkered with all options no solution yet.
Pro mode works and doesnt give error. if this is hw fault then its going to be really bad for samsung.
