Since 3 days ago, my Bluetooth headphones have been connecting to my phone but no sound comes out of them. After spending a lot of time trying to correct the issue I have found that it does not work when the AAC codec for Bluetooth is on. It works with SBC and SSC but not AAC. Can anyone advise me on how I can fix this sudden loss of AAC audio? It is very annoying having to restart my phone every time it stops working or having to go to developer options to change the codec.

It's fairly recent. Maybe a week or so? I think when I saw your initial post saying 3 days ago, it lined up pretty well with when I first started noticing issues

Interesting new detail I just discovered this morning - the issue reappears when changing headphones. I was at the gym this morning, I had switched to SBC in developer settings and was listening to music with no issues, when I saw that my headphones were about to die. I keep a backup pair of headphones for just such an occasion. When I switched headphones, I had no audio, and had to go back in to developer settings and switch to SBC again.

I had this occur to me. I think the default setting for most headphones is AAC so it is automatically set to that when they are turned on. When I turn my headphones on SBC and turn them off and on again, it automatically switches on as AAC streaming. I don't know how I can't set it so it always stays SBC.

So, the question is what happened in the last week or so that caused this to become an issue now, as it wasn't a problem until recently. And why does restarting the phone fix the problem, temporarily at least?

Almost exactly the same - S25 Ultra + Jabra Elite 8 Active. Like everyone here, I noticed it (connected but no sound) happening about a week ago, so early April. Only restarting it did the fix, but a few days passed and I connected to the earphones again, no sound. Tried the tech support chat with Samsung, but the person just went through a copy-and-paste list of solutions: try connecting the earphones to another device (works fine), try resetting ALL my phone's settings (nope), try resetting the network settings (nope), restart the phone (even though I already said it worked temporarily). Samsung needs to fix this, it's really annoying.

Same issue here with apple airpods pro from my old phone. Everything seemed fine until the new secuirty patch released a few days ago... But I am glad to here it's not an apple - android compatibility issue as others have experienced it too

Both of my Jabra bluetooth devices WILL NOT pair at all on the Ultra 25. Can't believe it, as the brand has been around for years. Quality Control, PLEASE FIX in the next update.
