I've had my S25+ for almost 3 months, for the last month an a half I've suffered from a bug that disables my screen rotation despite the option being turned on.
Restarting the phone makes it work for some hours but then the bug happens again. I've also factory reset my phone but the problem persisted. Not even games will make the screen turn horizontal which is very weird.
I noticed this problem is a software issue because I've tested the sensors using the Samsung Members app and third party apps and also yesterday I realised that (until now) the only 2 things that still rotate (when the bug is active) are the lock screen and the settings. Any other app like YouTube, games, gallery, streaming apps, etc do not rotate the screen when the bug is present.
I don't know what causes this but it is so irritating. In the meantime I've been using an app to force the screen rotation (it basically makes the rotation work as it should be, so that's another way I know my sensors aren't broken).
Dows anyone know what to do in this cases? I can't seem to find a pattern or something that gives me a clue of what's causing this.

Mine did not work on any apps at all. So it sounds different than yours. When I visited the customer center, they ran the factory reset.
After reset, they tried the YouTube app to check if auto-rotate worked - and it worked!
However, when the rep suggested trying other apps, I attempted the Gallery photos, and the issue was still there.
This is the point where the rep concluded it was a hardware issue and needed a repair. They found it was a motherboard issue after they opened up my phone.
They said if the factory reset doesn't work, it is not a software issue. So, I think your case may also be a hardware issue, given that the problem persists despite the factory reset.

The problem herr is that my auto rotate works on all apps but for a max of 24 hrs (sometimes if I'm lucky it will work for more days, the largest streak I had was of 6 days) and the the bug happens and nothing but the lock screen and the settings will rotate.

Try pressing the auto-rotate button and HOLD. Se the options that appear there. Try rebooting the system.
Also, there is another topic discussing this: https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/galaxy-s25-series/auto-rotate-not-working/td-p/12239377

Thanks for the answer bro. I've seen the options you talk about multiple times, I only have the home screen on to rotate to verifiy if the bug is present or not, but personally, I wouldn't have any of the options on tbh.
Restarting the phone will fix the problem but only for some hours or if I'm lucky, a couple of days. But in the end, the bug happens again. I've also factory reset my phone twice but the issue persists.
And lastly yeah, that other post is one of the first omes I saw when investigating this, luckily for that user a factory reset fixed the issue for him but mot in my case :c

I do think it is a firmware issue but while an update is not released, please investigate the camera app and any other app dealing with screen. Something, like an accessibility setting or screen setting can be messing up.

I've checked the settings but I can't find something that can be messing up the rotation. The only things that rotate (at least from what I've noticed until now) when the bug happens are the lock screen and the settings, every other app does not rotate. Yesterday I updated my phone with the July security patch and everything is working fine for now. I was waiting to see if One UI 8 and Android 16 fixed this for good but since both things got delayed if the bug happens again I'll probably go to a Samsung Service Center and have my phone checked for any hardware problems
