Auto restart when needed

Hi there I wondered if anyone can help sp my phone set auto restart device when needed under battery section is that needed to be turned on what’s the purpose thank you

Auto Restart is a function to enable your device to restart itself periodically so as to refresh connections etc.

I personally don't use it / have it toggled to off setting.

If I want to restart my device I so it manually 😊

You don't "need to" but it is best practice to do so every so often. Maybe every couple of weeks or once a month maybe

I have a schedule set on a Wednesday at 3am whilst I am sleeping. A weekly restart cycle helps to keep everything fresh and closes all background activity. It can help with phone health and keeping it responsive and efficient.

I agree i don't see the need to schedule a restart as I don't normally have my phone switched on while charging so I would reboot as the need arises.

Set it on a Sunday early morning when you don't need the alarm
As I think notifications and alarm sounds don't come through until you unlock divice

I would. Like all computers on the planet- RAM being the main thing here, not restarting it can cause the system to slow overtime *until restarted. If you're not likely to remember to do this yourself I would recommend it.

I don't use it. Will have control over when the phone restart. So I just do it manually every couple of weeks.
