Hi there!

I have a UK purchased Samsung S25 Ultra.

I'm in the US for the next 6 months and so have taken out a contract with US Mobile using Warp, which is basically Verizon.

I know that the S25 Ultra supports satellite messaging and SOS when paired with a network provider offering the service, which Verizon is, via Skylo.

Other people who have the same SIM card as me (US Mobile Warp) and a Samsung S25 Ultra can use satellite messaging but for some reason I can't. There are plenty of posts and screen shots online eg reddit, showing the service working.

I'm wondering if it's because I have a UK purchased phone rather than a US one. Does anyone know if there is anything I can do to get this service to work?

Since it's not avaliable in the uk, asking the US forum might give you better answers. From what I've seen, there's 2 systems in place. The s25 series supports a satalite system made by qualcom that works with a specific company. Your cell provider has to make that work. That's what you mentioned.

The other is I belive something tmobile is doing. The satalites broadcast normal phone signals so the phone itself doesn't necessarily have to have special chips.

In terms of making them work, the uk and us phones should be physically the same so any limits would be artificial or software. Since it's not avaliable in the uk, uk phones might be blocked from using it
