It could be an android auto fault or you car stereo. If I connect mine to my car it works sometimes and sometimes I only get sound. When connected to the stereo in my van it works flawlessly every time.

I had problems with wireless android auto after upgrading my phone from S21 to S25. I noticed that the connection drops because the Bluetooth connection drops then the WiFi connection drops after that.

It turns out that S25 has Bluetooth version 5.4 while S21 uses Bluetooth version 5.0  and after days of troubleshooting, I found out there is one setting change that fixed the problem. Here is what I did to make my S25 work with wireless android auto:

1- Enable the Developer Options if you haven't them enabled already. Here is the link to do it:

https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-turn-on-the-developer-options-menu-on-my-...

2- Enter the Developer Options and scroll all the way till the "Networking" section.

3- Select "Bluetooth LE Audio Mode" and from the available options select "Disable"

4- Restart your phone.

This worked for me and I had no issues after that. I hope it works for you too.
