back glass defect. Started at the camera and shortly after went across the back. Phone never dropped. Installed in free Samsung case immediately after opening the box. Never seen this before. Sending it back and getting another one. Hopefully the same defect isn't present. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement.

Sorry that happened to you. With so many devices rolling out, issues like this can and will happen. But fortunately it is very rare. Hope your next will live up to the samsung standard.

Mine has a tiny surface cracked like a stress fracture near where the upper volume button is. There is definitely something that didn't pass quality testing going on here. There was thr smallest about 4 inches from my pocket to a carpeted floor as I was sitting down and it slid out of my pocket. It shoupd never have cracked

Mine is a mth old. Same as u. I do take care of my phone. But it dropped once just from sitting position to the ground. Only realised few days later, that it cracked badly! What with the claims can survive drops from up to 7.2 feet onto concrete?? Called samsung, said I have to pay for the damaged. With no guarantees of getting the phone back but to wait for WEEKS. Should have stick to S22 ultra. Doesn't have all this problem.

I am sorry to say that this is not a rare problem. This is an issue and samsung should offer free repair for those that are having this issue! I got my phone on March 28, 2025. This afternoon I see a crack in the back on my phone, shocked because I have not dropped my phone and just like lowakc135, I left the store with case/screen protector!

I have exactly the same problem. It seems like a design flaw. A crack is starting near the camera. I have a thick phone case protecting the camera. I see S24 users have also reported this problem in the past. Insurance will do no good for these kind of cracks. I still have to pay 100$ for a refurb replacement.
