Why has my s24 ultra not recieved U.I 6.1.1 (Latest) features & updates

I currently have a Samsung S24 ultra. Iv had it since launch, and recently the latest update with the latest and greatest features has come available, which includes all the smart new A.I features in the editor. But I'm yet to receive this major update. Many people in my area and region all have had the update. My phone is still on last update which was 13th August 2024 using one U.I version 6.1. 

Has anyone else had the same issue not getting hit with the update? My partners phone which is the exact same version and model has not had it either

Hello @RMCB 

Software updates are sent out in waves by Samsung so not to overwhelm their servers. 

This is typically pushed out to eligible phone's,  region dependant, in relation to the phone's serial and build number. 

In some instances if the phone was supplied by a network, then that Network may hold back an update until they have tested the update to ensure it does not clash with their network apps and features.

Is your phone direct from Samsung from a carrier such as O2 or EE? If so then it is them that are holding it up not Samsung

It's a EE handset (contract phone) s24 ultra

I didn't think in 2024 it would actually matter if it's direct or not. The handset I have is actually a unlocked device from EE. Yes it's a contract phone, but the handset is not actually inbedded with any actual apps from EE just the default network characteristics

I personally don't think it's related to the network. Previously when I'm aware or no of a update maybe this via a tech & gadgets news update or youtube coverage, iv basically just had to go to settings, software update, click download and install. And it will search and the update will just pop up ready to download. In this instance it's not been the case.

I also have a sim free unlocked device. And there is no ee apps or ee app features on the handset apart from the network updates and service.

I still find it very strange.

It doesn't matter the phones that are not straight from Samsung have to wait til the carriers ok the update, which sucks

You won't get 6.11. You will get 6.1, but don't get too excited as it's a rather boring update, mostly pointless AI stuff.

Yeah iv seen most the tech and gadgets threads and reviews state that the 6.1 is the same as the 6.1.1 and iv already got the update. As it says above. And yeah I agree. I mainly wanted the photo editing stuff.
