Usb tethering from S24U to Tab s9

Trying to use my S24 Ultra to usb tether data to my Tab S9 but it just ain't working ?

I can tether over wifi but usb won't work for some strange reason.

My Tab S9 is the wifi version so my phone is the only device with unlimited data.

I've tried setting default usb connections to USB tethering in developer options on the phone and while it shows it's switched on, the tablet shows no icon and has no data.

Also to note....Usb tethering works from my S24U to my laptop.

I have been trying to do the same, but there is no way that my S9+ gets internet access.

Did you manage to get this working?

No. I contacted Samsung and they said it's possible there's an incompatibility issue as they use different chips for wifi etc.

There must be something more, I have not managed to get it to work on two S24 ultra. They have identical chips.

My tablet is the UK version and my phone is not, so I took Samsungs advice as the solution.
I agree with you that there's got to be more to it. My next option was to visit my nearest Samsung store to confirm the incompatibility issue but that's 2-3hours car journey.

You have identical chips and still face this issue....😮
Big let down for flagship devices.
