A phone being used in another region does not mean the phone won't recieve software updates, and security patches @rjk6969
It means that the phone maybe on a different timeframe.
For example I imported a Samsung Note²⁰ from Hong Kong, and that phone still received updates, but just took longer to update that's all.

The user's CSC is O2C not OC2.

Your phone could well be an UK phone for the O2 network, which giff gaff is part of. Phones which are done for a particular network have a different schedule for updates because it depends on the network.
If you have any doubt, please contact samsung for precise information. CSC codes have changed.
Do you have a Samsung account? If you do, have you registered your phone with the account? That will tell you if the phone is for the UK market.
