Hello All,

S24 ultra randomly drops the connectivity (only emergency calls) and I had to restart phone or plane mode on/off to work

UPDATE for those following along!

So after I went down the network route to prove it was not the network as an issue, I spent 5 hours online to Telstra.
I then lodged a repair with Samsung and sent it to their repair centre for review.
I did get an initial call telling me there was no issue as they had coverage,.
I then spent about 30mins talking to the tech and explaining it fully and how it can be reproduced in great detail and also explaining how much I had tried to fix this in various ways over the last month and a bit.
Thankfully, the TECH listened.
Two days later I got a call saying they had replaced some times, but still an issue. They ended up replacing some items which are listed as   SUB PBA, SVC_PBA MAIN, A/S Repair Kit,  Con to Con

I have now had it back for 1 day, and so far, so good.  *Crossed fingers and toes*
I can't say this is everyone's issue, but it's looking good for me so far.

I am using S24 plus and also got this problem. The connectivity bar looks full, but it is unreachable. I have to switch Airplane mode on and off to recover the network. Previously, after few software updates, the phone worked well. Then I think it is probably caused by some updates recently. Samsung must be aware of this issue, don't know why they still keep silent on it.

Hey. Is your connectivity problem resolved?

No, it's not resolved. I have to stay on 4G for it not to happen. Still waiting for Samsung to resolve this.

Hi, I recently got an S24 Base model, and it worked fine at first. However, after updating it, I noticed an issue. Whenever I'm in a no-coverage area, like the underground, the phone naturally loses connection. But once I'm back in a full 5G coverage area, the signal doesn't restore automatically and stays on emergency calls only. I always have to toggle airplane mode on and off to regain coverage. It's incredibly frustrating because I'm not used to this and have already missed important calls. Can someone please help with this issue if anything worked for them? One more thing I noticed is that when I try to switch network to 4G from 5G, the phone easily switches but when I try to switch back to 5G, then it shows emergency calls only also. I have to switch airplane on and off to get 5G coverage again. I previously had an S20FE, which never had this problem—phones should at least fulfill their basic function of staying connected.
